This past Fall, Wedgwood Circle traveled to the “City of Angels” where we gathered our own Angels – from institutional investors and foundation to artists and cultural gatekeepers – to explore ways to create redemptive cultural material in the sectors of film, music, television, publishing, theatre, fashion, fine art, graphic novels, gaming, and new media.  Remarkable speakers, lively discussions, and entertaining cultural experiences challenged us to create culture that is good, true and beautiful for the common good.  Our agenda included strategic conversations with Wedgwood Circle’s talented industry leaders (Sector Liaisons), pitches for double bottom line investment opportunities, a business plan development program for artists, and exclusive film showcases and musical performances.

Highlights:

  • Exclusive Member’s Only Luncheon at The Lobster with Guest of Honor, Stan Lee
  • Short Film Showcase featuring Academy Award Nominee for Best Live-Action Short, Kavi, by Gregg Helvey
  • Wedgwood Circle Sector Liaisons, Senior Advisors, Artists, and Special Guests provided engaging discussions, panels, and performances shaped around the cultural power of entertainment, cultivation of character through arts and entertainment, and the importance of investing in culture projects
  • Live and Silent Auction benefitting Art House, Act One, and International Arts Movement
  • Exclusive concert at the Annenberg Beach House with Sapere Fund 1.0 Artists Adjoa Skinner and The Daylights with special guests, The Civil Wars
